Frequently asked questions
General
Holiday schedules depend on your service frequency:
· Customers with twice-weekly service: If one of your scheduled collection days falls on a holiday, service will occur on your next regularly scheduled collection day.
· Customers with once-weekly service: If your scheduled collection day falls on a holiday, your collection will be delayed until the following day.
If you are unsure of your service schedule, please contact our office for assistance.
Your trash can is typically delivered within 2 weeks of your sign-up date. However, delivery times may vary depending on service demand, route scheduling, or other operational circumstances, which may occasionally cause delays.
If you have not received your trash can after 2 weeks, please contact our customer service team for an update.
We do not replace trash cans due to normal wear and tear, aging, weather exposure, or damage caused by factors outside of our collection service. However, if there is clear evidence that the damage was caused by our employee or collection equipment during service, we will review the incident and may replace the container at no cost.
Residential garbage service is billed quarterly in advance. Invoices are sent approximately 45 days before the start of each quarter and are due within 30 days of the invoice date.
If payment is not received by the start of the service quarter, your service may be suspended until the account is brought current.
Pricing varies by service location, with rates starting at $99 per quarter. We also offer discounts for senior citizens, educators, first responders, and military members. Please contact our office for eligibility details and exact pricing in your area.
Yes. Bulk item pickup is included with residential service, with limits based on your service frequency:
· Twice-weekly service: You may place one bulk item per week out for collection on your second service day.
· Once-weekly service: You may place one bulk item per week out on your scheduled collection day.
Mattresses require an additional fee of $35 per mattress.
Please ensure all bulk items are safely placed at the curb and do not block carts or traffic.
Certain materials are not permitted in your residential trash or recycling carts due to safety, environmental, or regulatory restrictions. Prohibited items include:
· Hazardous waste and chemicals (including pesticides, solvents, and cleaning chemicals)
· Batteries (including lithium-ion, car batteries, and rechargeable batteries)
· Paint, stains, and thinners
· Tires
· Construction and demolition debris (including concrete, drywall, lumber, and roofing materials)
· Propane tanks and other compressed gas cylinders (including but not limited to propane, oxygen, acetylene, and similar pressurized containers)
These items require special handling and must be taken to an approved disposal or recycling facility. If you are unsure how to dispose of an item, please contact our office for guidance.
Basic residential collection service includes:
· Up to two (2) 96-gallon trash cans, one of which will be provided by us
· Up to five (5) bags or bundles of yard waste per week
· One (1) bulk item per week, placed out on your second service day (for customers with twice-weekly service)
If yard waste is bundled, please ensure branches and clippings are cut to a length of no greater than 3 feet.
Please ensure all materials are properly prepared and placed at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on your scheduled collection day.
In the event of inclement weather, service schedules will follow the same adjustments as our holiday schedule. This means your collection may be delayed depending on your service frequency:
· Customers with twice-weekly service: If a scheduled service day is affected, collection will occur on your next regularly scheduled service day.
· Customers with once-weekly service: If your service day is affected, collection will be delayed until the following day.
In both cases, we will collect all accumulated garbage on your next service day, even if it exceeds the normal weekly limits.
Please check our website and social media channels for the most up-to-date service information. We may also send updates via email and text message during weather events.
We appreciate your understanding during inclement weather and will resume normal operations as soon as it is safe to do so.
